It features a TN/ANTI-UV LCD with LED back-lighting and operates within a depth range from 0.7 meters up to 100 meters (2 feet to 328 feet). The sensor has a 45-degree beam angle, enabling accurate location of fish and bottom conditions such as grass, rocks, and sand.

The unit is powered by 4 AAA batteries (not included) and operates reliably in temperatures from -20°C to 70°C (-4°F to 158°F). It offers user-selectable readings in meters or feet. Mounting options include fixing to the boat hull, using a float on the cable to mount it underwater, mounting on a pole submerged in water, or placing underneath ice through a hole.
