Use & Preparation

Simply rehydrate the slices with water for a few minutes following the instructions on the label, then heat to your preferred doneness. The bacon is cured and ready to eat once rehydrated and warmed, making it convenient for home use, hiking, camping, or emergency food storage. It can also be eaten as a crunchy snack straight from the pouch in a pinch.

Lean eye of pork loin (sliced). Cured with water, potassium lactate, salt, sugar, natural flavor, sodium diacetate, sodium phosphates, sodium ascorbate, sodium nitrite.

Storage and Shelf Life

Unopened pouches maintain quality for up to 10 years when stored out of direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. After opening, reseal the bag with the integrated zip closure and keep the oxygen absorber and desiccant; remaining contents are best consumed within a few months to one year depending on storage conditions. Using a home vacuum sealer to remove residual air can extend opened storage life further.
