You will be purchasing one bulk package of freshly cooked and freeze dried spelt with a net weight of 16 ounces, packaged for long term storage. This bag contains 1 pound of freeze dried fully cooked whole spelt, which is the equivalent of 96 ounces/6 pounds if you pre-soak and slow cook them once rehydrated. Each ounce of freeze dried whole spelt weighs approximately 6 ounces of fresh spelt when rehydrated.

This package is fully cooked, perfect for hiking or camping without needing to carry a cooler. Simply rehydrate with water for a few minutes, heat and serve. They can also be eaten freeze dried for a crunchy vegan high-carb/protein snack.
