Sealing Instructions

To prepare lids for sealing, place lids in simmering water at about 180°F (80°C) for 10 minutes to activate the sealing compound. After processing, lids that form a vacuum seal cannot be reused to create a vacuum again; bands can be reused but should be handwashed and dried to avoid corrosion.
